Payroll Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all aspects of payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans.
- Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems and data entry.
- Prepare and balance period-end reports and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
- Prepare monthly statements and ensure accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll and other summaries.
- Oversee payroll administration, including managing accounts receivable and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting and payroll administration.
- College/CEGEP diploma in a related field.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing.
