Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our team at Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of payroll-related tasks, including calculating and preparing cheques, preparing statements of earnings, and maintaining accurate records of employee attendance and leave.

Key Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, union dues, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
  • Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems
  • Prepare T4 statements and other statements
  • Perform data entry and receive payments
Requirements
  • College/CEGEP diploma in a related field
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a payroll-related role
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with human resources software and accounting software
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows
