Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Health Association Nova Scotia. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to seniors in long-term care facilities and in home care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, compassionate, and competent care to residents in long-term care facilities, including administering direct nursing care and planning resident care in consultation with the multidisciplinary care team.
- Administer prescribed medication and record patient information accurately.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
Home Care Responsibilities:
- Manage diabetes care, including medication administration and monitoring.
- Provide dialysis care and administer IV medications as needed.
- Offer palliative care and wound care services to patients in their homes.
- Perform phlebotomy and other medical procedures as required.
Requirements:
- Current licensure (or eligibility for licensure) with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses.
