This position offers flexibility, allowing the candidate to work from our Ottawa or Toronto office or remotely within Ontario.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist senior lawyers in advising clients on various financing transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents, such as credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and opinions.
  • Manage transaction timelines, deliverables, and closing processes.
  • Prepare, review, and file PPSA financing statements and coordinate PPSA searches and due diligence reviews.
Requirements
  • Be called to the Ontario Bar with a minimum of 1 – 3 years' experience in private practice or in-house at a financial institution.
  • Experience in advising on a range of financing transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently, and ability to work on multiple and complex transactions simultaneously and prioritize your time.
