Responsibilities:
  • Operate as a key member of the deal team, maximizing sector penetration and returns.
  • Institute cross-selling initiatives to increase client rankings.
  • Create pitch books for clients, presenting financial solutions and participating in client presentations.
  • Monitor clients, industries, and regulatory agencies for changes affecting client portfolios and business needs.
  • Initiate contact with partners for new client sales.
  • Directly manage diverse portfolios of private and middle market companies, progressing towards increased client responsibility.
  • Review and continually monitor performance of existing accounts and client relationships.
  • Conduct due diligence, including client visits, analyzing business models, and reviewing industry trends and regulations.

  • Collaborate with sector coverage partners to identify and deliver creative solutions.
  • Provide deal expertise, preparing and overseeing delivery of pitches.

  • Maintain ongoing coverage contact with clients and sector managers.
  • Build positive client relations through deep understanding of client needs and alignment of products and services.
  • Identify and leverage key decision-makers and influencers in client and internal organizations.
  • Act as a change agent to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain awareness of firm products and services, facilitating continuous updates.
  • Assist in developing strategic plans.
  • Support execution of strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with specialists as needed to support successful deal completion.
  • Ensure alignment between stakeholders.
  • Create financial models to analyze client portfolios and anticipate client needs.
  • Use financial analysis to proactively identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Generate updated financial models and analyses as needed.
  • Analyze and assess industry compilations.
  • Apply technical concepts, completing reliable technical and financial reports and analyses.
  • Understand transaction complexities and related risks.
  • Balance risk appetite with client needs when making recommendations.
  • Identify cost-effective ways to impact the bottom line and drive profitability.
  • Integrate information from multiple sources to enable efficient processes.
  • Guide work of Analysts and Associates to deliver business results.
  • Deliver financial modeling to support strategic recommendations.
  • Consider risk, internal controls, and compliance in daily accountabilities.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 5-7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination.
  • Undergraduate degree, with focal areas in finance, economics, or accounting preferred.
  • MBA, CFA, or equivalent experience in financial services, accounting, or legal fields.
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, negotiating financial transactions, and structuring deals.
  • Relevant sector experience, such as Power or Renewables, highly desired.
  • Good knowledge of organizational portfolio management policies and objectives.
  • Demonstrated deal execution and project management skills, managing multiple clients and initiatives.
  • Strong market knowledge to serve clients effectively.
  • Expertise in financial computer applications and database management tools.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through education and business experience.
  • Verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, influence, and data-driven decision-making skills.
