Job Summary

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Psychotherapist to join our team. As a Psychotherapist, you will work with clients who require support for psychological issues arising from injuries/incidents in the workplace, motor vehicle accidents, or through other third-party funded services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide group and individual psychotherapy to clients with a wide range of mental health conditions, including trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and addiction.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment plans and monitor client progress, modifying plans as needed.
  • Prepare and provide educational sessions within the framework of the cognitive behavioral model.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Perform cross-functional duties and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Health or Social Sciences or a related field.
  • Member in good standing of a regulated health professions college.
  • Additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and group facilitation preferred.
  • Experience providing psychotherapeutic assessments and structured psychotherapy treatment for individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Clinical competence to provide structured psychotherapy in areas such as trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, and addiction.
  • Experience working with clients with disabilities/injuries resulting from workplace or auto-related accidents.
  • Strong computer literacy skills and ability to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
