Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Therapist Specialist to join our team in providing individual, group, and family therapy, as well as education and assessment to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for case coordination and communication with inter-professional teams, as well as collaborating with referral agencies to provide support and guidance to clients and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Competently manage clients with various mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma, and substance use disorders.
  • Deliver therapeutic sessions to diverse client populations through group therapy, individual, and family therapy, and assessment.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, coordinating with broader clinical teams as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and charting, as well as reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Case management of client caseloads.
  • Participate in regular meetings and consultation with teams, making recommendations based on client progress.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three to five years of clinical experience, with a Master's degree in a regulated healthcare professional program preferred. Current registration with a regulated professional college, such as the College of Social Workers or College of Psychotherapists, is also required. CBT and DBT certification is an asset.
