At ExecThread, we are on the lookout for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to spearhead our national association of research-intensive universities. The CEO will serve as the primary ambassador, driving the national policy agenda and fostering partnerships with federal and other stakeholders to advance the interests of our member institutions.

Role Overview

This role demands a forward-thinking executive with a strong background in academic research, stakeholder relations, partnerships, and policy influence. The ideal candidate should be capable of navigating complex geopolitical landscapes and advocating for research funding.

Key Responsibilities

The successful CEO will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive national policy agenda and promote the interests of member institutions.
  • Fostering partnerships with federal and other stakeholders to advance research funding and opportunities.
  • Serving as the primary ambassador for the organization, representing it at national and international levels.
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and academics.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A strong background in academic research, stakeholder relations, partnerships, and policy influence.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of the complexities of geopolitical landscapes and the ability to navigate them effectively.
  • A proven track record of success in driving national policy agendas and securing research funding.
Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive salary package, including an estimated $250,000 - $300,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
