Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

LanceSoft is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in leading discovery, user research, and analysis to ensure a clear understanding of user needs and legal rights in advance of the upcoming negotiation for the Ontario Parcel Master Agreement (OPMA) contract renewal in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, validate findings, and build consensus among stakeholders
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones
  • Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct cost-benefit analysis for business I&IT initiatives
  • Conduct business modeling, conceptual and logical data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects
Requirements:
  • Strong business analysis skills, with experience leading technical needs assessment for multi-stakeholder, geospatial solution discovery projects
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience leading user engagement and discovery on projects involving multiple stakeholders and disciplines
  • Experience leading discovery on projects involving geospatial data and sensitive or confidential data
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices
