Transportation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to join our team at Roadx Express Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our transportation department, ensuring that all logistics and supply chain activities are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate Daily Operations: Assess the performance of our transportation team and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor Department's Performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to optimize our logistics operations.
- Plan and Organize Daily Operations: Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and productivity of our transportation team.
- Plan for Changes to Schedules and Policies: Anticipate and prepare for changes in the transportation industry, ensuring that our operations remain compliant and competitive.
- Prepare Reports for Senior Management: Provide regular updates and insights to our senior leadership team on the performance of our transportation department.
- Recruit Staff: Identify and hire talented individuals to join our transportation team.
- Supervise Staff: Lead and mentor our transportation team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Train Staff: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our transportation team.
- Manage Finances or Budget: Oversee the financial aspects of our transportation department, ensuring that we are operating within budget and making the most of our resources.
- Arrange for Shipping Documentation and the Tracking and Tracing of Goods in Transit: Ensure that all necessary documentation is in place and that our shipments are accurately tracked and traced.
- Ensure Transport Compliance with Regulations: Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and ensure that our transportation operations remain compliant.
- Establish and Implement Policies and Standards for the Transportation and Storage of Goods: Develop and enforce policies and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient transportation and storage of goods.
- Negotiate for Services and Preferential Rates: Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable rates and services.
- Oversee the Scheduling and Dispatching of Vehicles and Goods: Coordinate the movement of our vehicles and goods, ensuring that they are delivered on time and in good condition.
- Oversee the Setting of Transportation Service Rates and Monitor Revenue: Analyze market trends and adjust our transportation service rates accordingly, ensuring that we are maximizing our revenue.
- Plan, Organize, Direct, Control and Evaluate Daily Operations: Lead and manage our transportation team, ensuring that our daily operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
The Transportation Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of 11-15 people.
