Daycare Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Daycare Supervisor to join our team at Safari Kid. As a key member of our child care centre, you will be responsible for leading a team of early childhood educators and assistants in providing high-quality care and education to children.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Team Leadership: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and provide guidance and support to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and education.
- Communication: Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, including tracking children's progress and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment as needed to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
- Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
- Activity Planning: Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours.
- Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a child care centre or related field.
- Certifications: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, organized, and time management.
