Daycare Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Daycare Supervisor to join our team at Safari Kid. As a key member of our child care centre, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the highest level of care and education for our young students.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and education.
- Communication: Synthesize the overall situation of the children and communicate the information to parents, ensuring open and transparent communication.
- Record Keeping: Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records, maintaining accurate and up-to-date information.
- Supply Management: Order supplies and equipment, ensuring the child care centre is well-stocked and equipped to meet the needs of our students.
- Team Collaboration: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children, promoting a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
- Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing space for our students.
- Activity Planning: Plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, providing engaging and educational experiences.
- Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, ensuring the smooth operation of our child care centre.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a child care setting.
- Certifications: Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) and Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, organized, and time management.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced child care centre environment, requiring attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
