Daycare Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Daycare Supervisor to join our team at Safari Kid. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement child-care programs that meet the needs of children and align with our childcare philosophy.
- Supervise and train staff, trainees, or volunteers to ensure they are equipped to provide high-quality care and education to children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and any issues that may arise.
- Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Order supplies and equipment as needed to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children's progress and development.
- Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings to ensure everyone is informed and working together to support children's needs.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
- Plan and organize activities for school-age children in childcare programs before and after regular school hours.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
- Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a childcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
