The Hamilton Regional Indian Centre is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of UIHB Navigator. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in empowering Indigenous women and their families, promoting employment and education, and fostering community integration and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in navigating systems to access supports and resources
- Provide guidance on education attainability and documentation
- Help secure and maintain safe and stable housing
- Support the reclamation of Indigenous identity through cultural immersion
- Two-year post-secondary education in Social Service Work and/or Indigenous Studies
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a community organization and/or working with Indigenous populations
- Case management experience
- Strong knowledge and awareness of Indigenous culture and history
- Knowledge of Indigenous and non-Indigenous community supports and services
