Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Interior Health Authority in Kelowna, B.C. This role is perfect for an individual who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and has excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients, schedule appointments, and confirm bookings
  • Manage front desk operations, including answering phones, handling correspondence, and maintaining accurate records
  • Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, word processing, and graphic design
  • Coordinate medical billing, statistics, and other related duties
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma and a Medical Office Assistant certificate from an accredited institution
  • At least two years of experience in a healthcare setting or a related field
  • Valid BC Driver's License
  • Proficiency in computer software applications, including Microsoft Office and specialized clinical systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
