Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Orthotist to join our Orthotics/Prosthetic Department at Kelowna General Hospital. As an Orthotic Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our team to design and fit orthoses for patients in acute care and outpatient settings.

About the Role

This is a Casual opportunity, which means you will have flexible scheduling and occasional weekend shifts. You will work Monday through Friday, 08:00 to 16:00, with some flexibility to adjust your schedule as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Design and fit orthoses for patients in acute care and outpatient settings
  • Consult with interdisciplinary team members, healthcare providers, and suppliers to promote orthotic services
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and new technology in the field of orthotics
  • Collaborate with technical rehab and administrative staff to provide In-Patient and Out-Patient Services

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completion of recognized Orthotics Program and two years' recent experience in a rehabilitation healthcare setting
  • Certification in Orthotics from the Canadian Board for Certification of Prosthetists and Orthotists (CBCPO) and eligibility for membership in the Canadian Association for Prosthetics and Orthotics (CAPO)
