About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Recreational Therapist to join our team at Bobby's Hospice. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing specialized therapy programs for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with healthcare professionals to evaluate treatment plans and ensure patient care is tailored to their individual needs.
  • Interview patients to understand their goals and objectives, and develop personalized therapy plans to help them achieve these.
  • Write progress reports to monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry and record-keeping, to maintain accurate records of patient care.
  • Initiate, design, and implement specialized therapy programs, incorporating evidence-based practices to promote patient recovery and well-being.
  • Conduct research in the field of recreational therapy to stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends.
  • Plan patient care, taking into account their unique physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Credentials
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification is required.
  • Accreditation or registration with the appropriate national, provincial, or territorial professional association is essential.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificates are also mandatory.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
