Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $41.35 to $48.70 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for personal development.
Job Description
The Speech-Language Pathologist will work closely with children, families, and caregivers to assess, identify, and treat communication difficulties in children. This may involve working with children who have complex profiles of needs and delivering an interdisciplinary approach to care with community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- A post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
- A sound understanding of speech language therapy among children and youth
- Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans to achieve said goals with children, youth, families, and other care providers both in-person and virtually through telepracticing
- Effective education of children/youth, families, and other care providers related to their specific needs, utilizing a variety of strategies and mediums (group, individual, lectures, online, etc.)
- CURRENT CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications
- Bilingualism considered an asset
