*Niagara Children’s Centre* is recognized throughout the Niagara Region as the provider of rehabilitation and support services to over 5,800 children and youth with physical, developmental and communicative delays and disabilities each year. Core services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language services, augmentative and alternative communication, family services and therapeutic recreation. *As an Occupational Therapist, you will work to improve participation and quality of life through a child’s ability to perform role-appropriate, day-to-day tasks necessary for _*self-care*_ (such as feeding, dressing, toileting);
_*This process involves assessment, identification of strengths and needs, goal-setting, treatment planning, and implementation of treatment in a direct, indirect or consultative manner, as indicated, then discharge.
This position may be required to work with children and youth with a complex profile of needs to deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care with community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity in the home, community or school.
Masters Degree or recognized equivalent in Occupational Therapy*
* School Based Rehabilitation
* Autism Spectrum Disorders for Preschoolers
* Sound understanding of OT amongst children and youth
* Vaccination Policy*
