Job Title: Manager, Utility Plant Operations

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager, Utility Plant Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the oversight of daily operational management and/or maintenance of designated central steam and/or hot water heating production/distribution Utility Plants including Mechanical Systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement department goals, objectives, and operational requirements consistent with the organization's strategic and operational objectives.
  • Manage the operations, maintenance, and repair of the assigned site(s) central steam and/or hot water heating production/distribution Utility Plants including Mechanical Systems.
  • Provide operational leadership, including maintenance oversight of emergency generators.
  • Develop and implement the annual operating and capital budget for the assigned site(s); responsible for monitoring expenditures, variance analysis, and reporting.
  • Manage the recruitment, mentoring, and professional development of assigned staff and contract employees.
Requirements:
  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a British Columbia or Inter-Provincial First or Second Class Certificate of competency as a Power Engineer or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
  • Five to seven years' recent, related progressive supervisory and management experience in a large, complex unionized environment.
