Job Summary:

Lantic Inc. is seeking a skilled Document Controller and Technical Administrator to manage and monitor documentation for the LEAP project at our Montreal refinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a document management system as determined in the project execution plan.
  • Ensure the project complies with document checks and file specifications.
  • Transcribe minutes and measures, and communicate them accordingly.
  • Prepare agendas and documents for weekly meetings, and communicate them accordingly.
  • Develop document workflows for the entire project.
  • Monitor governance and document status.
  • Follow up with the project team to ensure timely submission and review of documents.
  • Provide weekly reports to the project manager on document review progress and RFI responses.
  • Keep a log for document transmission, RFIs, and other exchanges with contractors.
  • Manage the SharePoint structure or project directory, and maintain the list of documents.
  • Assist the Project Manager and Construction Manager in organizing meetings and developing meeting minutes.
  • Assist the Project Manager in validating project invoices.
  • Maintain the contractor's performance log.

Qualifications and Professional Experience:

  • Experience in construction coordination, particularly in civil, structural, and architectural aspects, as well as mechanics, electricity, and plumbing, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Procore software is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction field or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
  • Good understanding of contractual conditions and financial aspects of a construction project.
  • Technical diploma in construction, building, or architecture.
  • Experience as a draftsman is an asset.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Good sense of initiative and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills (spoken and written).
