The Actuary-Group Insurance role is a key position within our organization, responsible for pricing group life and health insurance products. This individual will work under minimal supervision to ensure products are priced to support expected profitability, taking into account the need to generate adequate sales levels. As a group insurance pricing expert, this role will lead and mentor analysts, providing guidance and leadership in subjects of expertise.

Analytical
- Research and analyze complex data from relevant sources, assessing data quality and making recommendations for improvement.
- Support the business and team by performing analyses, reviews, and completing ad-hoc requests and special projects in a timely manner.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related discipline.
- More than six years of actuarial experience an asset.
- FSA and/or FCIA designation required.
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey business terminology and insights effectively.
- Proficient with Excel, SQL, R, Python, and/or other related software/programming languages/actuarial software.
- Ability to adapt to new enterprise system environments and identify areas for improved efficiency.
- Advanced knowledge of actuarial science, mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance, and business, with the ability to apply this knowledge to problems in insurance.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and areas of concern that may impact analysis.
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple concurrent assignments, both individually and as a leader of a group, in a timely manner.
- Ability to work efficiently and co-operatively in a team environment, respectfully challenging the status quo and drawing out insights from other team members.
- Ensures team members are applying current industry and professional standards to requirements and decisions.
