  • Research and analyze complex data from relevant sources, assessing data quality and making recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related discipline.
  • More than six years of actuarial experience an asset.
  • FSA and/or FCIA designation required.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey business terminology and insights effectively.
  • Proficient with Excel, SQL, R, Python, and/or other related software/programming languages/actuarial software.
  • Ability to adapt to new enterprise system environments and identify areas for improved efficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of actuarial science, mathematics, probability, statistics, principles of finance, and business, with the ability to apply this knowledge to problems in insurance.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify errors and areas of concern that may impact analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple concurrent assignments, both individually and as a leader of a group, in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work efficiently and co-operatively in a team environment, respectfully challenging the status quo and drawing out insights from other team members.
  • Ensures team members are applying current industry and professional standards to requirements and decisions.
