About the Role

Rise CPA Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Assurance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading complex client engagements, managing files, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead client engagements, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality results.
  • Oversee file management, including setting project budgets, planning project activities, monitoring progress, and reviewing projects for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide expert guidance on accounting and tax matters, resolving complex issues and providing insightful advice to clients.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, fostering a culture of growth and development within the team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Review financial statements and tax returns for select clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory documents as required.
  • Support the marketing efforts of the organization, promoting our services to existing and potential clients.
Requirements
  • CPA designation and undergraduate university degree.
  • At least 6 years of public practice experience, with a strong background in reviews and compilations for a variety of clients.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team, with a proven track record of success.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards, auditing procedures, and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise insights to clients.
  • Familiarity with the challenges faced by small-to-medium sized businesses, with a strong understanding of their needs and goals.
  • Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a 'one team' mindset and a commitment to collaboration.
