About the Role

Rise CPA Inc. is seeking an experienced Assurance Senior Manager to join our team of professionals. As a key member of our assurance team, you will be responsible for leading complex client engagements, managing files, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver high-quality assurance services to clients, ensuring timely completion and meeting our quality standards.
  • Lead and manage files, including setting project budgets, planning project activities, and reviewing projects for accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide expert accounting and tax advice to clients, solving complex questions and problems.
  • Mentor and manage junior staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Review financial statements and corresponding tax returns for select clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns and other regulatory filings as required.
  • Support the marketing of our organization to existing and potential clients, as needed.
Requirements
  • CPA designation and undergraduate university degree.
  • 6+ years of public practice experience, with a focus on reviews and compilations for a variety of clients.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting standards, auditing standards, and common audit procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to research and analyze financial statement and audit-related issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Independent, highly motivated, and a self-starter, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
