Overview

The Law Society of Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert to lead the research, planning, implementation, support, and security of its IT end-user endpoint infrastructure. This critical role requires expertise in desktop and laptop computers, mobile devices, printers, operating systems, applications, and cloud services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement endpoint solutions to provide a consistent, seamless, and secure user experience.
  • Coordinate the resolution of critical customer support problems and monitor customer issues and requirements.
  • Maintain system security protocols, disaster recovery procedures, and perform day-to-day system maintenance and diagnosis.
  • Contribute to user support and capacity planning analyses and participate in the expansion of the Law Society's infrastructure.

Financial Management:

  • Participate in the annual capital budgeting process to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Evaluate operational processes and recommend new technologies or processes to reduce costs while delivering services that meet corporate computing goals.

Special Projects and Initiatives:

  • Lead infrastructure projects related to end-user devices, MS 365 services, and related applications.
  • Direct team members and contractors in the completion of project requirements.
  • Monitor the performance of Law Society infrastructure technology and provide feedback and recommendations for increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Education and Experience:

  • A university degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Math, or Engineering, or equivalent, coupled with relevant ongoing education in computer infrastructure technologies.
  • At least one M365 Associate Certification, ITIL Foundations certificate, or other relevant certifications.
  • A minimum of 7 years' experience providing infrastructure support in a multifaceted computing environment.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range includes benefits, bonuses, and other forms of compensation.
