Job Summary

The Technical Training Specialist will design and implement comprehensive training programs for various employees, focusing on electrical theory, power systems, and work methods. This role requires strong instructional skills, project management expertise, and a thorough understanding of electrical safety applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs, including field training and classroom sessions, to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties safely and effectively.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to create training materials and evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Work with customers to identify training needs and develop programs that meet corporate standards and policies.
  • Coordinate with vendors to develop and deliver curriculum that meets company requirements.
  • Support Operations Managers and field staff on technical and training issues.
  • Review and evaluate existing training programs, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Continuously update training materials to reflect changes in regulations, standards, and technology.

Requirements

  • Journeyman Power Line Technician certificate and a minimum of five years of field work experience as a journeyman.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's permit.
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Strong technical field skills, excellent presentation and instructional skills, and strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers and vendors.
