Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Support Specialist to join our team at Synergistic Systems Inc. As the primary IT contact, you will be responsible for providing technical support and performing proactive IT duties to ensure the smooth operation of our systems and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to our staff, vendors, and stakeholders, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • IT Operations: Perform proactive IT duties, including planning, testing, and executing improvements to our systems and services.
  • Helpdesk and Deskside Support: Provide helpdesk and deskside support to our staff, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Server and Cloud Support: Support and maintain our server and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Vendor Management: Work closely with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and effective delivery of services and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and reports on IT systems and services.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to our staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively use our IT systems and services.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant security and compliance regulations, including data protection and confidentiality.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Completion of a post-secondary education in Information Systems or equivalent experience in Tier 2 general IT support and operations.
  • Certifications: A+, MCSE, and/or MCDST Certified, and/or Azure Fundamentals and/or equivalent proven experience working in a diverse technology environment.
  • Skills and Attributes: Excellent communication and customer service skills, effective problem-solving and decision-making skills, and effective organizational and time management skills.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: Standard 37.5 hour work week, Monday to Friday, with at least one day off in a 3-week cycle.
  • Work Location: On-site within the County administration campus buildings, with occasional work at other municipal buildings and external sites.
