Mental Health Specialist

Key Responsibilities:- Accurately document patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, contributing to the development of individualized care plans.
- Complete patient care assignments, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient delivery of services.
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse, ensuring seamless care coordination.
- Follow established Standards of Care and protocols for assigned patients, promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in direct patient care preferred, with a focus on psychiatric settings.
- Basic computer skills, including electronic medical records training and competency testing.
