About the Role

This Administrative Professional position offers an exciting opportunity to join our Assurance & Accounting team in Ottawa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to multiple Partners and staff within the office.

The role involves ensuring all documents and deliverables are properly proofread and edited prior to being sent to clients. Additionally, the candidate will assist with billing, collections, and processing of accounts receivable and payable.

The selected individual will also interact with clients to support information requests and follow-ups. They will assemble corporate and personal tax returns, including cross-checking the balance owing and names as required.

The candidate will e-file tax returns and ensure Partners' lists have been e-filed by deadlines. They will provide administrative support to Partners and engagement teams, including client invoicing, calendar management, time and expense reports, meeting, and travel coordination.

Overtime, the candidate may be required to cover other support staff during vacations, illness, or other absenteeism. Other administrative duties may include photocopying, filing, mailing/courier services as required by professional staff and Partners.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • 2 years of experience in an administrative or similar role
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • An Office Administration diploma or other relevant education (an asset)
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • The ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
  • Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment and handling confidential information
  • Natural curiosity, adaptability, and compassion with initiative-taking skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (written and oral)
  • A teamwork-oriented approach with a focus on client service and quality work
  • The flexibility to work extra hours when required

The estimated salary range for this role is $50,000 - $65,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.
