Job Summary:

Meridia Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Financial Services Law Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Services Practice Group, you will contribute to the overall excellent level of service provided to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct due diligence searches and report on results
  • Assist with drafting closing documents and certificates
  • Liaise with borrower's counsel to ensure smooth transaction processes
  • Prepare and register PPSA liens in various jurisdictions
  • Update and maintain client forms and precedents
  • Accountable for all work assigned
  • Take initiative and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two (2) years experience as a Financial Services or Transactional Law Clerk
  • Successful completion of a post-secondary Law Clerk program
  • Familiarity with the PPSA and UCC or a willingness to learn
  • Membership in good standing with Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario
  • Flexibility to work outside regular business hours when required
  • Thorough knowledge of corporate statutes and relevant software applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organized and resourceful
