About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor and Wall Covering Installer to join our team at KRB Designs & Construction Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality flooring installations for our residential clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors and resilient floor coverings.
  • Installation: Prepare and install hardwood floors, remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and install carpeting on walls or other surfaces.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the flooring industry.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring the ability to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
