About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Specialist to join our team at Buoyant Pro Construction Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including carpeting, resilient floor coverings, and hardwood floors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Prepare Surfaces: Inspect surfaces to be covered, measure and mark them accurately, and prepare them for installation.
  • Measure and Cut Flooring Materials: Measure, cut, and install carpeting and resilient floor coverings on floors.
  • Install Flooring: Install hardwood floors, conduct moisture and other tests prior to flooring installations, and prepare floors for installations.
  • Estimate and Order Materials: Estimate costs and materials needed for each project and order them accordingly.
  • Remove Existing Floor Coverings: Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants to prepare surfaces for new installations.
  • Install Flooring on Various Surfaces: Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces, perform direct glue-down carpet installations, and install outdoor carpets.
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires a high level of physical fitness, as you will be handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, and kneeling frequently. You must also be able to distinguish between colors and have good hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Language: English
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
