About the Role
B2Gold is a leading international gold producer seeking a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to join our team in Nunavut, Canada.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Senior Surveyor and Civil Earthworks Supervisor for daily scoping of work assignments;
- Provide cut and fill stakes for earthworks activities;
- Conduct daily as-built surveys to maintain updated surface data;
- Perform weekly and monthly as-built surveys for volume tracking;
- Carry out weekly prism monitoring using a total station to detect any movement and Install prisms or other monitoring devices as necessary;
- Ensure required instruments are taken according to the scheduled readings;
- Compute as-built and design surfaces for volumetric reporting;
- Maintain organized files within the controller and the PC;
- Support the Open Pit Survey team.
Requirements
- Six (6) years' experience in surveying in open pit mining;
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Mine Engineering, or a related field;
- Proficiency in using surveying instruments (Trimble controller and Total Station) and related software (AutoCAD, Deswick);
- Advanced RPAS Pilot's License is required;
- Experience with DJI and TBC is considered an asset.
