Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled FSQA Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our Food Safety and Quality Assurance team, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the safety and quality of our food products. Your expertise in food safety and quality assurance will be essential to maintaining the highest standards for our products.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food regulations and GFSI standards (BRC, SQF)
  • Support the implementation of an effective Food Safety plan focused on the elimination of biological, chemical, physical, and economically motivated hazards from our foods
  • Conduct sampling, testing, and documentation of the Quality Management System (QMS) including procedures, records, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Maintain the safety, legality, and quality of each food and the processes used in their manufacture
  • Reduce customer/consumer complaints for foods manufactured on site
  • Authorize the holding of product based on food safety or quality non-conformance
  • Participate in daily food evaluation to identify possible defects
  • Participate in physical bakery inspections on a weekly basis on each area (pest control, operational methods, maintenance for food safety, sanitation, personnel practices, etc.)
  • Select food items for analysis at specified stages in the production process for evaluating compliance to specification
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and report any concerns to their Supervisor
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Food Science, Microbiology, or Human Ecology preferred
  • Training in HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) preferred
  • Training in a Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standard such as BRC or SQF preferred
  • Effective work ethic and good communications skills
  • Good writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Detail oriented, and possess strong computer skills
