Technical Project Lead for Maritime Engineering

Thales Canada is seeking an experienced Technical Project Lead to support its Non-Combatant In-Service Support Programs for the Royal Canadian Navy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maritime engineering and project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

About the Role

This role requires a highly motivated individual who can lead and organize the in-service capability insertion and sustainment program. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating, tracking and reporting all engineering changes assigned to individual PMs, EDMs or Work Pack Managers. They will also liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain the Capability Insertion and Sustainment Roadmaps, Engineering Changes B2B process, tracking the implementation of projects, tracking future requirements, and informing the Program Annual Operating Plan (PAOP).

  • Lead and organize the in-service capability insertion and sustainment program;
  • Coordinate, track and report all engineering changes assigned to individual PMs, EDMs or Work Pack Managers;
  • Liaise with various internal and external stakeholders to develop and maintain the Capability Insertion and Sustainment Roadmaps, Engineering Changes B2B process;

The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and engineering cost estimation;
  • Strong understanding of maritime engineering principles and practices;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • Experience working with defence contracts and government regulations;
