Forensic Social Work Assistant

BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Forensic Social Work Assistant to join our team in Port Coquitlam, BC.
Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide clerical support to our social work department. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering charts, requesting and receiving information from various teams, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide administrative support to the social work department, including scheduling appointments, preparing reports, and maintaining patient records.
- Liaise with staff from various teams to provide program-related information and represent the assigned program at meetings.
- Collect and enter data into computerized systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Set up and maintain filing systems, both physical and digital, to ensure confidentiality and accessibility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, including answering phone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Completion of a recognized Social Service Worker or Social Service Diploma Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- General knowledge of social work, mental health, and substance services.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new situations.
