The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly-motivated and well-organized individual to provide administrative support and customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace.
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a range of administrative support services, including:
- Responding to inquiries and providing information and assistance to clients concerning government programs, policies, and procedures
- Issuing receipts, permits, and licenses for government programs
- Receiving, labeling, and examining wildlife specimens for research, aging, or issuing permits
- Processing accounts payable/revenue and purchasing documents
- Providing assistance with budget processing, analysis, and forecasting
You will work closely with internal and external clients to provide exceptional customer service and support, and will have the ability to calmly and courteously acknowledge the concerns of clients who may be hostile, angry, confused, or frustrated.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of office management practices and procedures, accounting/financial principles and procedures, and word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
