Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and well-organized produce department, and ensuring that products are properly prepared and displayed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legendary service to customers through various communication channels
- Properly prepare products to company standards while maintaining production records
- Ensure a clean and well-maintained department
- Procure, receive, and display product with a focus on well-organized, visually appealing presentation
- Follow all Food Safe and Health and Safety regulations and practices
- Continually monitor code dates to ensure the freshest inventory on the shelf at all times; follow FIFO
Requirements:
- Grade 12 education or a combination of relevant experience
- Background in the retail produce industry is considered an asset
- Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and proud of the work you do
- Well-organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
- Familiar with food safe procedures and practices
- Ability to fulfill extensive physical labour job requirements – standing, performing regular heavy lifting, and frequent operation of a pallet jack
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
