Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef and Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team at Social YVR. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen activities, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Chef Duties: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
  • Leadership: Recruit and hire staff, organize buffets and banquets, manage kitchen operations, ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding position requiring standing for extended periods
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
