We are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Certified Millwright to join our team at our Fox Creek sawmill in Fox Creek, AB. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mill's machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, and chains.
- Inspect machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
- Manage your time effectively to assess and prioritize maintenance tasks.
- Apply your knowledge, skills, and experience to troubleshoot issues, boost equipment reliability, and implement safe, reliable fixes.
- Have great attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Be accountable for assisting in a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors on site.
- Red Seal Certification considered an asset but not required.
- Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- High degree of urgency.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
- Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process is an asset, as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability.
