Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Millwright to join our team at Canfor's Fox Creek sawmill in Alberta. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mill's machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, and chains.
- Inspect equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, and implement safe and reliable fixes to minimize downtime.
- Manage your time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals.
- Apply your knowledge and skills to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in maintaining a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors on site.
Requirements:
- Red Seal Certification in Millwrighting or equivalent experience.
- Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process is an asset.
