About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Specialist to join our team at FedEx Group.

Job Summary

The primary focus of this role is on commercial shipments, requiring a strong understanding of customs rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide accurate information and assistance to customers regarding international shipment details.
  • To perform duties relevant to the processing of low-value shipments in accordance with Canadian Customs and other government departments regulations and legislation.
RequirementsEducational Requirements

A Community College Diploma or Equivalent is required. Professional accreditation/certification as a Canadian Customs Specialist or CSCB qualified is also necessary.

Related Experience Requirements

A minimum of one year's experience is required, preferably with FedEx, with basic knowledge of Canadian Customs Regulations related to International Operations.

Other Specific Mandatory Experience Requirements

Incumbents must maintain their CCS designation when in this position and achieve annual re-currency points.

Technical Skill Requirements

Solid knowledge of the following is required:

  • Good mathematical and computer aptitude.
  • Knowledge of customs rules and regulations.
Computer Literacy and Proficiency

The ability to use clearance systems and have a basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on location and experience.

Benefits and Other Details

This is a temporary position up to one year. The incumbent will be expected to perform all other duties as assigned and complete any mandatory testing and training. A valid driver's license is required for candidates residing in the province of Quebec.
