Health Information Processing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Health Information Processing Clerk to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital. As a casual employee, you will be responsible for performing clerical duties related to patient information, secretarial tasks for managers and physicians, and quantitative analysis.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quantitative analysis to ensure accuracy of patient records
- Monitor and maintain an electronic tracking system for deficient patient charts
- Perform data entry functions for clinical registries and/or databases
- Assist physicians in completing patient documentation by performing quantitative analysis
- Provide reception duties, including answering telephone calls, transferring calls, and directing visitors
- Current 5 Minute Typing Test with a speed of 55 wpm or greater, completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution
- Proof of completion of a Medical Terminology Course
- Two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- A Cover Letter stating your availability to start in a new position and on-call, casual work
