Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of our residents.
- Ensure Timely and Safe Resident Transfers: Coordinate and facilitate the transfer of residents to and from our facility, ensuring a smooth and safe transition.
- Manage Medications and Supplies: Safely store, control, and dispense medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: Work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring a comprehensive approach to resident care.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document resident care, progress, and any concerns or issues, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
- Registration: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses.
- Certifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and valid First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and other relevant legislation and regulations.
- Clearance: Medical Clearance, including TB tests, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check, as well as a Clear Criminal Record check.
