As a Registered Nurse at Mackenzie Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work collaboratively with an interprofessional team to provide holistic, patient-centered care that meets the unique needs of each patient.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying potential health risks and developing strategies to mitigate them.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
- Current Certificate of Registration in the General Class with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- 1 year of recent acute med/surg experience.
- Proven clinical experience with patient-focused care, including strong patient assessment, care planning, patient education, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved nursing program.
- Recent completion of a physical assessment course.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Member of the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO)/Canadian Nurses Association (CNA).
