About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Industry and Professional Engagement to join our team at Sheridan College. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic partnerships with industry leaders to enhance student learning experiences and career outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to engage industry partners and employers in support of student learning and career development
- Lead a team of professionals in employer relations, job development, and business development
- Establish and maintain relationships with industry leaders and employers to identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership
- Develop and implement innovative programs and services to support student career development and employer engagement
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate industry partnerships into curriculum and co-curricular activities
- Develop and manage budgets and resources to support industry engagement initiatives
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior leadership on industry trends and best practices
Requirements
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Education, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
- 7 years of professional experience in employer relations, industry engagement, or related field
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic partnerships with industry leaders
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of professionals
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with industry leaders and employers
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems
