We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at First National. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving mortgage applications, ensuring that they meet our company's policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze mortgage applications to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines
- Make credit decisions on mortgage applications, taking into account risk and other factors
- Communicate with mortgage brokers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate processing of mortgage applications
- Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and trends to ensure that our mortgage products and services remain competitive
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
