We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter to join our team at First National. As a Mortgage Underwriter, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving mortgage applications, ensuring that they meet our company's policies and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze mortgage applications to ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines
- Make credit decisions on mortgage applications, taking into account risk factors and market trends
- Collaborate with mortgage brokers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth processing of mortgage applications
- Stay up-to-date with industry knowledge and market trends to ensure that our company remains competitive
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with mortgage brokers and other external partners
- Completed post-secondary education or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of PC software in a Windows environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
