Job Description

This Casual Administrative Assistant role supports Cranbrook Mental Health and Substance Use Services at Rocky Mountain Lodge. Key responsibilities include:

  • Registering patients, answering telephones, and performing general correspondence and record keeping duties.
  • Chart notes, reports, medical billings, data entry, word processing, graphic, and database applications.
  • Compiling and entering statistical information, recording, transcribing, and typing forms and correspondence.
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments, balancing, and checking revenue transactions.
  • Maintaining medical/surgical supplies and equipment and other resource materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Grade 12 diploma or equivalent, combined with one year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • A valid BC Driver's License.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Typing skills at 40 wpm.
