Job Overview

The Business Development Representative will play a crucial role in acquiring and managing small to medium-sized businesses in our service areas. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position requires strong organizational and time management skills to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with small and medium-sized businesses that close quickly for maximum revenue.
  • Collaborate with customer contacts to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Promote and maintain the organization's brand image and identity within serving communities.
  • Analyze client results to ensure needs are being met.
  • Pursue contract renewals and promote awareness of new products and services.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary education with a concentration in business, marketing, or technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of direct-selling experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sales deals with potential customers.
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with key business partners and other stakeholders.
  • Experience assessing client needs, developing proposals, and delivering solutions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Compensation

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity with an estimated salary range of $25-$35 per hour, depending on experience. Additional pay includes commission, and benefits include casual dress, company events, dental care, employee assistance program, extended health care, life insurance, paid time off, vision care, wellness program, and work-from-home flexibility. The schedule includes day shifts from Monday to Friday with occasional weekends as needed. A valid driver's license is required, and the ideal candidate should have secondary school education or equivalent, along with 1 year of sales experience.
